### Treasury Price Index (TPI)

The [Treasury Price Index](https://templedao.medium.com/the-new-temple-b121c2aaded4) is a metric for the stablecoin backing per TEMPLE token. TPI tracks the stable backing per TEMPLE through our innovative "TPI Drip" mechanic. Over time, as we reap the rewards from Treasury activities and liquidated into stablecoins, the TPI will grow accordingly.

TempleDAO utilises a novel AMO (Algorithmic Market Operation) liquidity manager called [RAMOS](https://templedao.medium.com/the-new-temple-b121c2aaded4) to support TEMPLE price at a level no lower than its TPI metric.

The Treasury may holds volatile assets which are not directed toward TPI growth. Subject to DAO governance, certain volatile tokens may be reserved for [Spice Auctions](/spice-bazaar/spice-auctions.md).
